Shot lists: six poses for a day out
Posepass has six shot lists for common outings: City day, Beach day, Cafe date, Couple walk, Trip highlights and Outfit post. Each list holds six poses. A row ticks when you keep a shot of that pose, and Shoot next opens the camera on the first pose left.

How do shot lists help?
A day out goes faster when you know what you want to bring home. A list turns a loose idea into six frames you can collect in order, without scrolling the whole library each time.
How do they work?
Open Shot lists from the Poses tab, pick one and see its six poses. Tap Shoot next to open the camera on the first pose without a kept shot. Keep a shot and the row is ticked.
- Open Shot lists and choose one.
- Tap Shoot next.
- Keep a shot to tick the row.
- Repeat until all six are done.
What is free?
The first list, City day, is free, and the other five are part of Pro. A shot list is only a plan: the poses inside a free list are free to shoot, and a Pro list still shows its six poses before you buy. Progress is stored on your iPhone, so a list can run over several days.
Which lists are there?
City day, Beach day, Cafe date, Couple walk, Trip highlights and Outfit post. Each list has six poses chosen to give you a varied set of frames for that kind of outing.
Tips for a list
Pick the list before you leave, charge the phone and tell your photographer which poses you have. Send them the first pose with Send to my photographer. For guides on specific places, see photo poses at the beach.
What poses are in each list?
Every list has six poses, and the order is intentional.
- City day: Crosswalk stride, Rail lean, Coffee to go, Sit on the steps, Doorway frame, Look back.
- Beach day: Shoreline walk, Wind in the hair, Sit in the sand, Sunset silhouette, Beach jump, Walk into the view.
- Cafe date: Cup in both hands, Window gaze, Chin on hand, Laugh mid-sip, Window seat, Warm hands close-up.
- Couple walk: Hand in hand walk, Forehead touch, Back to back, Laugh together, Steps for two, Share the view.
- Trip highlights: Small and the landmark, Suitcase walk, Arch frame, Viewpoint rail, Made it to the top, Wide selfie.
- Outfit post: Classic stance, Outfit walk, Side profile, Look at the shoes, One foot up, Crossed ankles.
How does a row get ticked?
A row ticks when you keep a shot of that pose. The list shows progress as a count, such as 3 of 6 shot. When all six are done, the app suggests making a card from your favorite, which leads into share cards.
Which list suits which day?
City day starts with a walk and moves to leaning, a coffee, steps and a doorway, so it fits a stroll across town. Cafe date is made of seated and close-up poses, which works when you have one table and twenty minutes. Outfit post asks for head-to-toe frames, so the photographer needs room to step back. Trip highlights mixes wide landmark shots with a selfie, so keep the 0.5x lens in mind.
How do I run a list with one other person?
It works best with a plan before you leave.
- Pick the list and read the six poses together.
- Send the first pose with Send to my photographer, so your friend sees the directions on their own phone.
- Tap Shoot next and hand over the phone, with hand-off view on if you like.
- Keep the best frame and check the row ticks.
- Repeat for the other five, or swap roles halfway.
What if a pose does not suit the place?
Use the pose strip on the camera. It shows 12 poses from the same situation, so you can switch to a similar pose without leaving the camera. Keep the one that fits the spot and move on.
How is a list better than a plan in your notes?
A note with screenshots has no order, no directions and no sense of what is done. A shot list keeps the six poses in sequence, shows the phone height and lens for each and ticks them off as you go. Everything stays on your iPhone, with no account and no internet needed to work through a list.
Can I finish a list over several days?
Yes. Progress comes from the shots you have kept, and kept shots stay on your iPhone until you delete them. Start a Trip highlights list on day one, come back on day three and Shoot next opens the first pose that still has no shot.
What makes a list go smoothly?
Four habits help.
- Read all six poses before you leave, so nothing surprises you on location.
- Charge the phone and wipe the lens.
- Take a burst of a few frames per pose and keep only the best, so the Shots tab stays tidy.
- Stop after the first two poses and check the framing, then carry on.
