124 drawn poses for eight situations

The Posepass library holds 124 original line-drawn poses in eight situations: city, beach, cafe, couple, group, solo with timer, travel and full outfit. Each pose lists phone height, lens and framing, directions for the photographer and cues for the person posing. Forty are free.

What is in the library?

Each situation has 15 or 16 poses. Examples: Rail lean and Crosswalk stride in the city, Shoreline walk and Toes in the water at the beach, Cup in both hands in the cafe, Hand in hand walk for couples, Two rows for groups, Walk past the phone for solo shots with the timer, Small and the landmark for travel and Classic stance for outfits.

What does a pose page show?

A 3:4 stage with a thirds grid, head and feet lines and the figure. A setup card lists phone height, lens and framing. Below it are three numbered directions for the photographer and two cues for you. A primary button starts the camera with that pose.

Directions are about the phone: kneel, hold it at chest height, switch to 2x, step back, put the feet on the bottom line. They never comment on a body.

Which poses are suitable?

The poses are calm and everyday: walking, sitting, leaning, laughing, holding hands, hugging from the side. The app avoids suggestive and swimwear-focused poses and has no kissing poses.

What is free and what is Pro?

The free plan has 40 poses, five in each situation. Pro opens all 124. A Pro pose is still visible in the library with a lock. If a friend sends you a link to a Pro pose, it opens in full for you.

How are poses organized?

By situation first, then by how easy they are to start. Each situation has a card on the Poses tab, with a count and a short line about its mood. Recently shot poses appear in a row at the top, and a pose of the day gives you a quick idea when you do not know where to begin.

How do I send a pose to a friend?

Open a pose and tap Send to my photographer. The text carries a short note and a link to that pose. When your friend opens it, the app lands on the pose page, ready to shoot.

For tips on choosing, read how to pose for photos.

How do I choose a pose when I do not know where to start?

Go from the place to the person.

  1. Open the Poses tab and pick the situation that matches where you are.
  2. Scan the tiles. Each shows the drawn figure, the pose name, and a caption with camera height and lens.
  3. Open one that looks easy. Read the three directions and the two cues.
  4. Tap Shoot this pose, or Send to my photographer if the phone is in someone else's hands.

What are the eight situations?

Each situation card has a short line about its mood.

  • City: streets, walls and steps.
  • Beach: sea, sand and wind.
  • Cafe: tables and windows.
  • Couple: poses for two.
  • Group: three or more people.
  • Solo with timer: the phone rests on a ledge and the 10 second timer runs.
  • Travel: landmarks and views.
  • Full outfit: head to toe, nothing cut off.

How do I read the setup card?

Phone height is Low, Waist, Chest, Eye level or Above. The lens is 0.5x, 1x or 2x. Framing is Head to toe, To the knees, To the waist or Close-up. Cup in both hands, for example, asks for chest height, 1x and a frame to the waist. Hold the hat asks for chest height, 2x and a frame to the waist.

The same three values show up as a caption on every tile, so you can compare poses before opening them.

Who is the library for?

It suits people who get photographed on trips, couples who take each other's pictures, groups at a table and anyone posting an outfit. Because the directions are about the phone and not the body, it also helps people who dislike posing: they get a task instead of a style to copy.

Pose names, directions and cues follow the app language, which you can set to System, English or Russian.

How is this different from saving reference photos?

A saved photo shows a result and says nothing about how it was taken. A Posepass pose lists the phone height, lens and framing, then gives three steps for the photographer. The figures are original drawings, so there is no model to compare yourself with. The About screen says it plainly: no photos of models, no body scores, no filters that change how you look.
